The paper discussed some problems of statistics subject construction and higher education in China, maintained that statistics is the science of methodology of data collection. classification, presentation, summary, analysis and inference. We should learn the advanced statistics education model and experience from dweloped countries to train Chinese excellent applied statistician in 21 centurg.
