政府消费与私人消费的关系及其对宏观经济的影响既是经济学者也是经济政策者关注的一个重要问题。20世纪80年代以来国外学者对这个问题的研究主要是沿着三条路线展开的:最优消费的欧拉方程路线,协整分析路线和DSGE模型路线。前两种路线得出的结论分歧较大;标准的DSGE模型预测政府支出挤出私人消费,修正后的DSGE模型则预测该挤出效应较小或者会出现挤入效应。
