母亲嫁妆对子女参与课外教育的影响——来自CFPS2014数据的证据

摘要：

本文利用CFPS2014数据考察了母亲嫁妆价值对家庭中子女参与课外教育的支出及辅导类别选择的影响。通过OLS回归和Logit模型回归我们发现,较高的母亲嫁妆价值会使子女课外教育开支显著提高,通过比较标准化回归系数发现,母亲嫁妆的影响效果大于家庭人均收入和住房价值所带来的影响,并且其影响效果在不同群体间存在差异,对男孩的影响大于女孩,对乡村家庭的影响大于城镇家庭。此外,较高的母亲嫁妆价值使得子女参与课外才艺培养类辅导班的概率显著提高。借助Heckman样本选择模型进行进一步检验发现,本研究的样本选择偏误问题并不严重,回归结果可以认为是一致有效的。
