集聚经济测度方法前沿综述

Research on agglomeration economies in China is on starting stage.For the lack of theoretical studies,empirical instruments and basic data,empirical studies in this field are scarce, and systematic studies on the existence,strengthen and forms of agglomeration economies in various industries is insufficient.This paper first discriminates different forms of agglomeration economies on theoretical basis,and then makes systematic review on different ways of measuring agglomeration economies.It concludes that all measurement can be divided into for basic groups,direct measuring by estimating the influence of agglomeration factors on firms output or productivity in micro scope,by estimating the influence of agglomeration factors on output or average productivity in industrial or area scope,by estimating the relation between output or average productivity in industrial or area scope with index measuring agglomeration levels,and indirect measuring by analyzing the gradual changing patterns of factors prices in space.
