The issue of "transcendental arguments" came firstly from Kant. The transcendental arguments made in P. Strawson's works were regarded as the most classic in the contemporary era. B. Stroud claimed that Strawson's transcendental arguments were actually relied on the "verification principle",therefore it is superfluous. But this conclusion can be applied only in a certain fields. For some unexperienced areas,including the concepts and statements of general metaphysics,as well as moral metaphysics and philosophy of religion,transcendental arguments are still necessary. In essence they belong to a kind of "conceptual arguments",which are distinguished from the arguments of experience and logic. Their basic character is positing firstly some theoretical presuppositions,and then exploring their validities conceptually.
