全国麻类生产调查报告(Ⅵ)

The investigation was made in distribution,acreage,yield,income of farmers and processing method of bast fiber crops(BFC)in 18 provinces in China. BFC were distributed in many regions in China from Heilongjiang in the north to Hainan in the south and from Xinjiang in the west to Zhejiang in the east of China.There were more than 70 BFC varieties cultivated in China.The planting areas were more than 330,000 hectares and the fiber yields were 500,000 tons. It was shown that the income from planting BFC was the main earning source for many farmer.The export volume of BFC products was growing year and year.If the quality improved,the BFC industry would be developed steadly. BFC planting would become the main ways of promoting agricultural productivity and increasing farmer's income.
