在过去的二百年里,中国与国际社会的关系几经变迁。20世纪70年代末以来随着中国政策的变化,中国与国际社会发展出的密切关系超出以往任何时候。但是,在未来的三十年里,这一政策是否继续有效?本文认为,中国从现在开始需要考虑究竟要推动何种类型的国际社会以及地区与全球的平衡。中国的和平崛起是可能的,但并非坦途,这涉及到中国如何思考自己在国际社会中的身份以及如何处理与日本的麻烦关系。
