摘要:
Achieving success with tissue engineering depends on meeting a variety of critical experimental conditions, one of that is the implantation of an adequate number of regeneration competent cells which do not elicit immune response There are various sources of cells for tissue engineering, such as autologous cells, animal cells and stem cells, each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages A more likely source, for at least the near future of tissue engineering is the use of stem and/or progenitor cells Isolated stem and/or progenitor cells can be expanded in vitro and directed to develop along a certain lineage Recent advances in stem cell technology have improved the progress of tissue engineering The use of cultured stem and/or progenitor cells has the potential to improve the extent of regeneration, and also increases the likelihood that the transplanted tissue will integrate into the surrounding tissue In this review, we have briefly summarized the advanced achievements of the cell sources of tissue engineering
