羊骨质疏松模型在人类骨科研究中的作用

摘要
尽管啮齿类小动物目前是骨质疏松最常见的动物模型,大体形动物是研究人类骨质疏松疾病所必需的。羊作为骨质疏松模型有许多优点。羊足够大的体积有利于获得进行各种生化检查的血液和尿液标本和用于组织学检查的骨组织标本,也有利于应用于临床检查的仪器用于羊的相关检查。多因素综合处理的方法是诱导羊骨质疏松模型的最有效的方法。BMD的最大减少被发现在行OVX+限制钙摄入+糖皮质激素应用的羊动物模型中。该方法所诱导的羊骨质疏松程度足以达到人类较严重骨质疏松症的程度,有可能成为研究人类骨质疏松的理想模型。羊骨质疏松模型是评估各种药物和其他治疗措施如人工关节置换对骨质疏松及骨质疏松性骨折的防治效果的理想模型。不过,羊作为更为理想的骨质疏松模型,还有一些有待解决的问题。
