The authors first develop a simulating system-EGCLTH having application in geochemical mapping. It is a nonlinear data processing and graphic systen. Using EGCLTH system high den- sity geochemical measuring results can be achieved automatically from low density sampling data. For example, we have constructed the geochemical maps of China corresponding to a sampling density of 1 sample/6400 km2 from the data of 529 samples, nearly covering the whole land surface of China, rpovided by Xie Xuejin (1995). Global Sampling Committee, International Geochemical Mapping Project is taking a lpan in which the world's land surface will be covered with 5000-6000 smaples. EGCLTH system will make quickly it possible to construct an Asia and World Geochemical Atlas from the data of these samples.
