摘要：

is the year the Chinese government establishes its websites on Internet.In this paper,the decision making information services the social science information institutes used to provide and the problems arising therein are described.The challenges and opportunities brought up by the establishment of the Chinese government website are discussed.Finally,the paper puts forward some countermeasures the social science information institutes may take.
