“沟变论”这一经典的地学原理最近成了前寒武纪地质研究的新思潮，而对立新的诠释为“板块构造是打开过去的钥匙”。本文介绍了目前国外太古富克拉通典型地区有关板块构造的研究进展，板块构造的证据以及有关大古亩地球动力学的讨论。
