Preparation of a homogeneously dispersed BaTiO3/polymer nanocomposite thin film

摘要
Chemical-solution approaches to BaTiO3/polymer composite thin films are susceptible to segregation due to immiscibility between the polymer and the BaTiO3 precursor. Uniform dispersions of BaTiO3 in a polymer matrix were processed by binding a BaTiO3 precursor (titanium diisopropoxide bis(ethylacetoacetate)) to a block copolymer (poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride)) before reaction. After spin casting, the films were treated in aqueous solutions of Ba(OH)(2) at 80 degrees C resulting in a BaTiO3/polymer nanocomposite thin film with a uniform dispersion of BaTiO3 particles.
