摘要
Motivated by a semantic lack of clarity of the fuzzy control method, a simple and plausible model will be developed which seems to formally represent the way in which an expert controls an engineering system by hand. The model is derived without referring to fuzzy logic; it only bases on rationally handling the notion ''subjectively estimated distance.'' In this connection, it requires the specification of a metric d on R(n). If this metric is chosen as the so-called Maximum Metric, the formalism of the standard fuzzy control method results. Thus, the fuzzy control method will be both provided with a clear semantic background and at the same time generalized in quite a natural way.
