Molecular motions in solid saccharides studied by NMR spectroscopy

摘要
Analyses of spin-lattice relaxation time and second moment measurements of the polycrystalline saccharides methyl alpha-D-mannopyranoside, methyl beta-D-arabinopyranoside, methyl beta-L-arabinopyranoside and beta-D-allose have revealed, apart from methyl group reorientations in the methyl pyranosides, the jump motion of a hydroxyl proton in a hydrogen bond in beta-D-allose and trans-gauche reorientations of CH2OH groups in methyl alpha-D-mannopyranoside and beta-D-allose.
