摘要
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts: Linking the porous tetrahedra of IRMOP-51 (brown) by connecting their iron-trimer vertices (red) with bipyridine linkers leads to the new metal-organic framework MOF-500, which contains additional smaller (blue) and larger (green and yellow spheres) tetrahedral pores. The sorption capacity of MOF-500 is four times greater than that of the molecular compound IRMOP-51. (Figure Presented) © 2006 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
