Hysteretic losses at a gap in a thin sheet of hard superconductor carrying an alternating transport current evaluated by W.T. Norris [J. Phys. D, Vol. 3 (1970) p. 489] are reconsidered. An error overestimating the loss level by several times was found. Correct expressions are given and checked by numerical calculations.
