摘要
The radiative transfer equation (RTE) for a medium with a spatially varying refractive index is derived. The basic quantity in the RTE is the radiance L which is defined as the amount of energy which at position r flows per second through a unit area perpendicular to the unit vector Ω. L is measured in units W m-2.
