摘要
In Fabry disease, the critical step for progression towards renal failure is the appearance of ischemic lesions within renal vesserls. Recent studies in experimental models identified angiotensin II, endothelin and growth factors as key players in the mechanisms of nephroangiosclerosis. In addition, they showed that renal fibrosis is a reversible process providing thus, hope for efficient treatment(s) against chronic renal failure.
