Photoionization and luminescence properties of Bi3+ in In1-xLuxBO3 solid solutions

摘要
The luminescence properties of the In1-xLuxBO3:Bi3+ (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 1) solid solutions were studied. In the concentration range 0 < x less than or equal to 0.30 both the emission of Bi3+ ions and the emission due to an annihilation of the impurity-trapped excitons are observed. The impurity-trapped exciton band shifts towards higher energies with increasing x. At x > 0.30 only emission of Bi3+ centers is observed. This behavior is correlated with increasing band gap energy of the solid solutions and can be described in terms of configuration coordinate curve diagrams.
