Single bundle posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: University of Pittsburgh approach

Arthroscopic single-bundle posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstruction has been for the last decade, the preferred method of addressing injuries to the PCL that require surgical intervention. This article describes in detail the technique used at the University of Pittsburgh to arthroscopically reconstruct the anterolateral bundle of the PCL. Until clinical outcome studies show that newer double-bundle techniques are clinically superior, this technique remains the gold standard for surgical reconstruction.
