A new method to determine musk xylene in water sewages fish and related products

摘要
A new faster and simple method to determine Musk Xylene is described. This method was assayed in fish, freshwater, sewages, fish oil and standard fish food pellets. The first step is a extraction, followed by a gas chromatographic separation with mass spectrometry detection using single ion monitoring to enhance the sensibility. Clean-up procedure are not required. A good linear correlation between concentration and response of mass detector was obtained. Quantification and detection limits were established in 2 mu g/kg and 1 mu g/kg, respectively. (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
