Template synthesis of polyaniline: A route to achieve nanocomposites

摘要:
We have been exploring the idea of using the porosity of organic (poly(vinylidene fluoride)) and inorganic (sol-gel silica) films, as a template for the preparation of micro and nanocomposites containing conducting polymer. Small angle X-ray scattering was used to obtain a porosity size distribution of the template materials. The presence of electroactive polyaniline within the pores of these materials was confirmed using cyclic voltammetry, UV-Visible spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy measurements.
