摘要
Tuberculosis is a worldwide public health threat caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. All mycobacteria express a unique cell envelope glycolipid, lipoarabinomannan, which can be released at sites of infection. Lipoarabinomannan is a potential virulence factor which ran bind to leukocytes and modulate immune responses. Here, we provide an overview of the interactions of mycobacteria and lipoarabinomannan with immune cells. (C) Elsevier, Paris.
