摘要
The editorial section of the Journal Of The American Society For Information Science And Technology addresses the case of evolving indicator space. It tries to find out some of the established and newer indicators of impact that will constitute the evaluator's abilities and how these will be located in a notional indicator space (iSpace). It makes an attempt to represent the iSpace using just two possible dimensions and a few examples to those indicators that can address these issues. The vertical axis reflects the degree to which an indicator is either scholarly or social in nature. Citations are made by publishing scholars to the published works of other scholars according to established bibliographic conventions and are widely accepted as indicators of scholarly impact.
