(Figure Presented) Gelling together: Molecular gels are a class of nanoscale materials based on the self-assembly of low-molecular-weight compounds. The manipulation of metal-ligand interactions offers novel opportunities to fabricate highly processable and stimuli-responsive metallogels that capitalize on the rich properties of the metal complexes (see picture).
