摘要
Present tensions between HIV and employment The present health improvement due to the new HIV therapies is not nowadays followed by a significant return to employment of the persons living with HIV. Based on the results of a research carried out in 1998-1999, this article tries to spot the chain of tensions explaining this gap. Socio-economic differences may emphasise biomedical difficulties and raise tensions between the widely shared wish to come back to work and the obstacles which could be met. Employment and improvement of policies dealing with the working conditions is of an only limited help to reduce these tensions. As it may have a stigmatising effect, resorting to the framework conceived for disabled people is hampered by the right to secrecy which remains a necessary condition to protect private life in its articulation with working life.
