Efficient tunable ultraviolet generation in periodically poled lithium niobate

摘要
The authors report the generation of narrowband (< 0.015nm) ultraviolet light by the frequency doubling of a 1.5kHz repetition rate Ti:sapphire laser in bulk periodically poled lithium niobate. A conversion efficiency of 19% was achieved with 91mW of fundamental power. The second harmonic was tuned between 391 and 395nm.
