摘要
An examination on the effect of room temperature ageing and room temperature deformation on the subsequent ageing behaviour of alloy 7475 for the T73 heat treatment has been conducted. Electrical resistivity and yield stress measurements have been used to quantify the ageing behaviour. It was observed that the kinetics of ageing were increased when the alloy received room temperature deformation prior to high temperature ageing. In addition, the planar anisotropy in yield stress was affected by the room temperature processing.
