Levels of circulating adhesion molecules in rheumatic mitral stenosis

摘要
The plasma levels of soluble adhesion molecules E-selectin. intercellular adhesion molecule-1. and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 were significantly elevated in patients with rheumatic mitral stenosis compared with control subjects. Increased levels of these adhesion molecules suggest that there is still ongoing chronic inflammation in patients with severe rheumatic mitral stenosis.
