Crossover from one- to two-dimensional space-charge-limited conduction in pentacene single crystals

We report the crossover from one- to two-dimensional space-charge-limited conduction in pentacene single crystals with planar contacts. The space charge is confined to the in-plane longitudinal direction for L/h <= 15, with L the contact separation and h the sample thickness. For L/h > 250 the space charge is dominated by the transverse component of the electric field.
