摘要：

The composition of the essential oil obtained in 0.30% by hydro distillation of the seeds of Satureja hortensis L. cultivated in Kashan (Isfahan Province, Iran) was investigated by GC and GC/MS. Forty-two components were characterized, representing 96.7% of the total oil components detected. Carvacrol (59.7%), gamma-terpinene (12.8%) and p-cymene (9.3%) were the major constituents of the oil.
