摘要
A century ago it was estimated that 40,000 tigers roamed India's forests and grasslands but now the Indian government estimate tiger numbers at only 3,600. At near extinction due to poaching and habitat loss through logging and mining, a network of tiger reserves have been allocated throughout the country. Often this results is the uprooting and movement of people who's dissatisfaction hinders conservation efforts. Humans and tigers need to be able to coexist if tiger populations in India are to recover.
