10GHz 3ps actively mode-locked ring laser incorporating a semiconductor laser amplifier and an electroabsorption modulator

摘要
The authors report a novel actively mode-locked unidirectional semiconductor ring laser constructed from discrete fibre pigtailed components. When driven at 10GHz, the laser produces near transform-limited pulses of 3ps duration.
