Stability of Laves phases type of alloys ZrCr2(1-x)M(2x) and their hydrides

摘要
The semi-empirical model developed by Miedema et al. (Journal of Physics F., 1973, 3, 1558) has been used in the case of pseudo-binary alloys ZrCr2(1-x) M(2x) where M=3d metal or Mo. The stability of these alloys has been computed and then compared to the experimental diagram of the existence of the crystal structures C14 and C15. In the second part, the model has been applied to the corresponding hydrides. The impact of the nature and the stoichiometry of the substituted element M has been analysed.
