摘要
Filtered Density Function (PDF) for subgrid scale modeling (SGS) of turbulent combustion is studied. To isolate the effects of chemical reactions in SGS modeling, single-phase combustion in a low-Mach-number flow with negligible radiative heat transfer and viscous dissipation is considered. The predictive capability of PDF methods in RANS is due to the inherent property of the PDF to include the complete statistical information about its variables. It is found that the systematic means of determining the PDF is by solving its transport equation.
