摘要
The transmission spectra of BiB3O6(BIBO) crystals are compared with KTP. With BIBO samples cut in different phase matching (PM) directions in (0 10) plane. we obtain efficient second harmonic generation (SHG) of pulsed laser radiation in this low symmetric crystal, For BIBO crystal, the direction (168.9degrees, 90degrees) exhibits a larger efficient nonlinear optical (NLO) coefficient than the direction (11.1degrees, 90degrees). For a 2.4 mm long, (168.9degrees, 90degrees)-cut BIBO, the SHG conversion efficiency can reach 67.7%, while at the same conditions the efficiency of a 4.7 mm long, (11.1degrees, 90degrees)-cut BIBO is 58% or so.
