Artificial spinning and characterization of silk fiber from Bombyx mori silk fibroin in hexafluoroacetone hydrate

摘要
Artificial spinning and characterization of silk fiber from Bombyx mori silk fibroin in hexafluoroacetone (HFA) hydrate was investigated. The solid-state 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra of the silk fibroin indicated that the regenerated B.mori silk fibroin fiber took β-sheet structure after removal of HFA. The regenerated silk fiber captured the main features of the native fibers using HFA solvent system and processing conditions.
