摘要
The crystal structures of the compounds Ce2Ni17Si9 and Ce2Co17Si9 have been studied by time-of-flight neutron diffraction at room temperature. Both compounds have a tetragonal structure that is derived from the cubic NaZn13 structure type. A strong site preference of the Si atoms was observed. From magnetic measurements it is derived that the Ce atoms in both compounds do not carry a magnetic moment.
