Electrochemical sodium insertion into MnCo oxide

摘要
Electrochemical sodium insertion in the low-temperature spinel oxide Mn2.2Co0.27O4 is investigated. Chronopotentiometric measurements show one single-reduction process located at 2.7 V with a faradaic yield of similar to 1 faraday per mole of oxide for a 1.5 V cutoff voltage. During cycling experiments performed at discharge-charge rates of C/8, a practical specific capacity of 95 Ah/kg was obtained after the fifth cycle. (C) 1999 The Electrochemical Society.
