摘要
An organization's effectiveness in implementing a strategy always depends on its capability to realize selected strategic goals through the performance levels achieved by its processes. Critical business processes are the basic means to support a company's strategic objectives according to set priorities. Through them management optimizes the deployment of all, but especially human resources in the work stations that form the value adding process stages. This paper describes a systematic approach for selecting the critical processes with the greatest impact on important strategic goals. This is done by evaluating process value adding contributions to attain business excellence. An evaluation of total performance for any organization must rely on all the criteria that address its critical success factors. In such a context process analysis becomes the linchpin of strategic management and work performers (individuals or teams). Thus, accurate process performance assessment plays a most decisive role in developing effectiveness and/or sustaining a desired competitive advantage.
