摘要
The design of electronic noses has a considerable dependence on the selected transducer set. There are many sensor technologies useful for be integrated in electronic noses. but every technology involves a dedicated electronics. In that sense, migration of the instrument to different sensor technologies usually involves a major redesign of the electronics and the software. The standard IEEE1451 can be a helpful tool to design smart electronic noses compatible with the possibility to use different sensors technologies without major redesigning efforts. In this work we present a solution for the development of electronic noses based on this standard and we have analyzed and studied its feasibility in this kind of systems. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V.
