Electrosynthesis and characterization of poly(3-methoxythiophene)-polybithiophene composite films prepared in micellar media on Pt and Fe substrates

摘要
The electropolymerization of 3-methoxythiophene (MOT) was performed on Pt and Fe electrodes in an aqueous micellar medium containing sodium dodecyl sulfate and 10(-3) M bithiophene (BT). Electroactive, homogeneous, adhesive PMOT-PBT composite films are constituted of oligomers, including PMOT and PET, and traces of copolymers. The electrocatalytic effect of BT in the electropolymerization process is demonstrated, allowing electrodeposition of PMOT-PBT coatings on iron.
