摘要：

A 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) ligand has been prepared which bears two {Ru(tpy)(2)}-containing substituents; key synthetic steps involve 'organic' reactions of ruthenium complexes. The new bpy ligand has been used in the convergent assembly of heteronuclear Ru6Fe and Ru6Co complexes. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
