摘要
Biodiesel is here considered as an alternative fuel in Iran in order to benefit from environmental aspects and contribution to final energy demand. An analytical tool is developed to consider different scenarios in biodiesel production. This study provides a regional framework in terms of techno-economic parameters to deeply understand the agricultural, technical, and economic aspects of biodiesel supply chain of Iran including resources, production, distribution, and consumer. The study further assesses the potential of biodiesel production in different geographical regions of Iran. It reveals the contribution of current potential resources to make the future biodiesel demand. (c) 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
