摘要
An empirical interrelationship between chemical bonding and acentric properties has been established for simple and binary niobates and tantalates. The fields of noncentrosymmetric niobates and tantalates have been defined on the plane of shortest oxide bond lengths. Criteria for searching new compounds promising for high acentric properties have been revealed. (C) 2004 Elsevier B. V. All rights reserved.
