摘要
A new class of ligands in which a sugar is covalently linked to a 2,2':6',2 "-terpyridine metal-binding domain has been prepared. Iron(II) and ruthenium(II) complexes have been prepared and strategies involving deprotection of coordinated ligands have been developed. The metal complexes do not undergo enzymatic reactions characteristic of the sugar substituents, even though the free ligands do. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
