Fast method for DNA extraction in Nocardia and Saccharomonospora

摘要
Nowadays, the use of molecular techniques represents the most precise and fast methods in everyday research, this, perhaps, calls for the development of new methods to isolate DNA at low costs and with fast and reliable results. The DNA isolated using a microwave oven at different potencies and times, was of high purity and very suitable for later amplification procedures. The strains of microorganisms used were both actinomycetes and eubacteria, and in both cases it was tested on an halophile strain. The best isolations were obtained for Nocardia spp. at 400-480 W for 10-20 s, for Sacharomonospora spp. and Escherichia coli at 320-480 W for 15-20 s and for Salinicoccus spp. at 480-560 W for 10-20 s.
