摘要
The importance of helping students understand the art of research and the reliability of information sources available online is discussed. Event intelligent students appear to be confused about where to find information and which source to trust. With the increase in the quantity of information available online, that range of subjects and quality of information also have increased. It is important to teach students to evaluate and use the relevant information from a complex set of information. One needs to understand competing theories of truth to understand the art of research in the realm of online digital information. Peer review and the social construction of knowledge are key concepts students need to understand. Peer review is the institutionalization of the process of creating facts. An idea might gain a degree of acceptance by being debated on a mailing list by a group of people with expertise in a particular area.
