Anionic synthesis of highly isotactic polystyrene in hexane in the presence of lithium hydroxides

摘要
Highly isotactic PS, uncontaminated with significant quantities of atactic PS was successfully synthesized by initiation with t-BuLi-, 3,3-dimethyl-1,1-diphenyl-1-lithiobutane (DMPBL), or polyisoprenyllithium (PILi) in hexane, at or below -30°C, in the presence of LiOH. The synthesized PS was characterized by using NMR.
